Add a Home Screen Icon

To make accessing the mobile page easier, users can add a shortcut to their mobile device Home Screen. The following are instructions for the iPhone and Galaxy phones, but the procedure is similar for most Android and Apple phones.

iPhone/iPad

To place the shortcut icon on the Home Screen on the iPhone, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open Safari and navigate to the NSSPress Home page. At the bottom of the navigator page is a tool bar with a box/arrow icon. Tap the icon and the options are displayed.

Step 2: Select the “Add to Home Screen” option from the menu.

Step 3: A dialog box will open to enable giving the link a name. The name can be left as it is or changed to the user’s preference. Tap “Add” in the upper corner when finished. The icon now appears on the Home Screen and will navigate to the NSSPress Home page

The iPad is is the same except the box/arrow icon is at the top of the browser.

Android

To place the icon on the Home Screen on the Android phone (Galaxy II in this case), follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the browser and navigate to the NSSPress Home page. At the top of the page next to the address bar is the bookmark icon. Tap the icon and the bookmark page displays.

Step 2: Press and hold down the bookmark for NSSPress.

Step 3: A dialog box will open. Select “Add shortcut to home screen.”  The icon now appears on the Home Screen and will navigate to the NSSPress Home page when selected.

There may be differences in this procedure on different platforms. If the user has difficulty following these steps, the exact instructions for this procedure for each type of phone is available on the Internet using a search engine of their choice.
